Flagstone

Flagstone - flat pieces of natural stone that are typically fit into a mosaic or regular pattern - can be used to create indoor and outdoor projects, including walkways, driveways, patios, insets, commerical floors, pool decks, wall caps, water features and outdoor rooms. Flagstone is durable and provides a naturally slip-resistant surface that will last for years.

Flagstone flooring can be mortared for use with furniture, or flagstone patios and walkways can be laid dry with narrow-packed joints that allow water to permeate instead of running off. Moss, grass or a hardy ground cover can be grown between the stones. To create a formal project, cut flagstones can be laid in a repeating pattern; staggered joints create a slightly less formal design. For an informal project, irregular flagstones can be laid randomly.
