The dye could stain concrete, so it’s best to put a tarp under the mulch if dumped onto a concrete driveway.
When handling dyed mulch, please remember to use the same precaution used when paining a fence or house exterior – wear proper apparel, never apply in the rain, and allow a 12-24 hour drying period before watering.

Grow Green Composting Mulch
Artisan Stone Products introduces Grow Green Compost (mulch), an all-natural product that recycles waste and saves water. Whether incorporated into soil or applied on the surface as topdressing, Grow Green Compost can be used in a variety of applications:

Planting new turf grass
Grow Green Compost should be applied to the soil surface in a one-inch (about 3 cubic yards per 1,000 square feet) or two-inch (about 6 cubic yards per 1,000 square feet) layer and then incorporated into the soil to a depth of 4-6 inches to be thoroughly mixed to create a uniform bed for seed or sod.
Supplement established turf grass
Grow Green Composting can be used as topdressing on established turf grass to gradually incorporate organic matter into the soil without extensive disruption. Provide a thin (1/4”) layer and work into the soil with several passes with an aerator in spring and fall when grass is actively growing.
Give new trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals a great start
For new trees and shrubs, work ½ - 1” of Grow Green Composting into the top 2 inches of soil from the trunk to the dripline, the outermost diameter of the tree / shrub canopy. For perennials and annuals, in the spring, loosen the top 2” of soil in beds and mix in a 1” layer of Grow Green composting mulch. Or in the fall, apply a 1” layer of compost as a mulch to protect plant roots from freezing and to conserve moisture.
Create an award-winning vegetable garden
Grow Green Compost can be added spring or fall to vegetable gardens. When applied in fall, soil organisms will have worked the compost into the soil. For spring, spread compost two weeks before planting time.
